A New Universe of song.

Once upon a time there was band called Gaia Consort. After four albums and 11 years, it was time to change the direction of the music. In fact, we needed to invent an entire new personal universe for the creative framework of the band. After eons of deliberation and hard thinking, Gaia Consort ater it's own tail and swallowed itself until Bone Poets Orchestra, like a cyclical universe, was reborn.

Many of you helped make the old universe's projects possible through your generous contributions via the Adopt-A-Song program, and we hope that Bone Poets will inspire you to continue.

We work hard to make the ongoing business of Bone Poets Orchestra / Suddenly Naked Arts Collective pay for itself, but we would not come anywhere close to breaking even if folks like you didn't pay for the recording costs. Sue's day job has allowed me to make the music a full time pursuit and the result is that the music has aquired some amount of a life of its own. As of August 2010, we're two songs away frm being finished with the recordig process. We need about $$3600 to get us all the way through pressing!

In playing around with titles, I've worked with Tao of Bones; Gatthering Light, Stars Like Seeds; Spin; and Belladonna Smiles. Spin really speaks more about what the music is about. Belladonna Smiles is more intriguing.

Somewhere between 3 and 20 minutes into the life of a universe, the temperature falls to a level where NUCLEOSYNTHESIS can happen - around a billion degrees Kelvin. That's still mighty hot and a major necessary step in the process toward becoming matter. You can become a Nucleosynthesizer in the Bone Poets universe by donating $100.00 - $299.00

At Between 10–12 seconds and 10–6 seconds after the Big Bang, the Universe is still too hot to be made up of anything but quarks. INFINITE KELVIN
Over the years a complete song has generally cost us about $1,000 to record. So if you think about each song as it's own little universe, you can start your very own BIG BANG. The Universe, (the one we're pretty sure we live in) when it started, is said to have been so hot that it’s temperature might as well have been infinite, measured in Kelvins. For this new universe, any donation over $1,000 should be enough to start the ball rolling. We've already done about half of the tracking on the first three songs. Another $1,000 might get us all the way to mixing on two, maybe all three.
